- Mr. Hara, originally from Goto, Kyushu, acquires mining rights for a graphite mine on the Korean Peninsula
- 1918
- Hara Shoji Co., Ltd. establish and begin shipping business and graphite mining and sales
- 1950
- Start importing and selling Korean amorphous graphite through importers
such as Daiichi Tsusho (currently Mitsui & Co.)
